Nailberry began life in  2012 as a luxury nail salon in Chelsea, London - established by Sonia Hully, our French-born founder. After witnessing the damaging effects of repeated gel or acrylic manicures and pollution on her clients’ nails, Sonia knew nail polishes needed to change. So, she embarked on creating her own.

Formulas had to be healthier for nails, non-toxic, cruelty-free and eco-friendly. Their quality, texture and durability also had to be outstanding. She partnered with a leading French laboratory and many months of work began.

In 2014, L’Oxygéné was born. It sparked an industry revolution and pioneered a new polish concept: a formula permeable to air and moisture vapour - empowering customers to wear beautiful, richly pigmented colours that still let nails breathe, behave and grow naturally. It was free of concerning ingredients and certified cruelty-free, vegan and Halal. To complete her healthier manicure offer, Sonia followed with a range of treatments, designed to repair nail damage.
